For South African tax practices
Your SARS compliance checks, on autopilot.
TACT checks your entire eFiling client list every week, so your team doesn't have to.
TACT signs into your practitioner eFiling profile, checks the compliance status of every client on your list and shows you exactly who needs attention.
No more opening eFiling and checking clients one at a time. Your team can see the clients that need attention and get back to the work that matters.
- Your whole client listpulled from eFiling
- Checked every weekautomatically, in the background
- From R8.33per client per month
The problem
Hours spent checking eFiling
1,000 hours a year
For a 1,000-client practice, checking every client manually at just 5 minutes per client per month adds up to around 1,000 staff hours a year.
That's time spent logging in, finding clients, checking their status and recording who needs attention.
Problems found too late
A client only needs their tax compliance status when it is urgent.
A missed return, outstanding debt or other compliance issue can sit unnoticed until the client needs a Tax Compliance Status PIN for a tender, funding application, contract or other requirement.
By then, someone in your practice has to drop what they're doing and sort it out.
More clients shouldn't mean more checking
Grow your client base without adding admin.
Once the weekly checking is automated, adding clients doesn't mean adding more hours of manual eFiling checks.
What TACT does for your practice
Your whole client list
TACT reads your clients directly from your practitioner eFiling profile. There is nothing to capture or maintain manually.
Built for practices with hundreds or thousands of clients.
Straight from SARS
See each client's overall compliance status, together with the areas that need attention across Returns, Registration and Debt.
Checked every week
TACT checks your clients automatically every week.
You can also refresh your entire client list or check an individual client whenever you need to.
See the picture at a glance
See how many clients are compliant and non-compliant, where the problems are and how your overall compliance position is changing over time.
Find the clients that need attention
Search, filter and sort your client list to quickly find the clients you need to deal with.
Export to Excel or CSV
Export the clients currently on screen for follow-ups, staff allocation, reporting or client communication.
Your list stays current
When a client is removed from your eFiling client list, TACT removes them from your active list automatically while keeping their history.
Secure by design
eFiling passwords are encrypted at rest.
A single TACT practice account can hold multiple eFiling logins, making it suitable for practices with more than one practitioner or eFiling profile.

Pricing and return on investment
Simple per-client pricing
The more clients you monitor, the lower your average cost per client.
| Clients on TACT | Price per client per year |
|---|---|
| First 1,000 | R100 |
| Next 500 (1,001–1,500) | R80 |
| Next 500 (1,501–2,000) | R60 |
| 2,001+ | R50 |
Each rate applies only to the clients in that band.
For example, 2,000 clients cost:
1,000 × R100 + 500 × R80 + 500 × R60 = R170,000 per year
That's an average of R85 per client per year.
Pay annually and save 30%
Pay for the year upfront and receive 30% off.
For your first 1,000 clients, that's R70 per client per year instead of R100.
A 1,000-client practice pays R70,000 for the year instead of R100,000.
Early-access offer
50% off for your first six months
Early-access practices receive 50% off their first six months.
A 1,000-client practice paying month-to-month saves R25,000 during the first six months.

What does TACT save your practice?
The value comes from the staff time you no longer spend checking eFiling manually.
For the calculation below, we've used a conservative assumption of 5 minutes per client per month and a staff cost of R200 per hour.
| Clients | Hours saved per year | Value of staff time | Month-to-month TACT fee | ROI | Annual upfront fee | ROI |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 250 | 250 | R50,000 | R25,000 | 100% | R17,500 | 186% |
| 500 | 500 | R100,000 | R50,000 | 100% | R35,000 | 186% |
| 1,000 | 1,000 | R200,000 | R100,000 | 100% | R70,000 | 186% |
| 2,000 | 2,000 | R400,000 | R170,000 | 135% | R119,000 | 236% |
| 3,000 | 3,000 | R600,000 | R220,000 | 173% | R154,000 | 290% |
How we calculate it
We assume:
Clients × 1 hour per client per year × R200 staff cost per hour
That's based on checking each client for just 5 minutes once a month.
TACT checks clients every week, so the calculation deliberately doesn't put a value on catching compliance problems earlier, avoiding urgent manual checks or reducing the risk of missed issues.
Your actual saving depends on how long your team currently spends checking eFiling and what that time costs your practice.
Work out your own ROI
Put in your practice's numbers.
- Staff hours saved per year
- 1,000
- Value of staff time
- R200,000
- Month-to-month
- R100,000 per year 100% ROI
- Annual upfront
- R70,000 per year 186% ROI
With the assumptions above, the annual upfront option pays for itself in roughly four months. Early access can reduce the cost further.
Offer TACT as part of your client service
TACT starts from R8.33 per client per month on month-to-month pricing.
With annual upfront pricing, the equivalent cost is R5.83 per client per month for the first 1,000 clients.
Some practices may choose to include this in their existing fees. Others may choose to offer it as a separate SARS compliance monitoring service.
For your clients, that means:
- Problems picked up every week, rather than when a compliance issue becomes urgent.
- Less risk of missed returns and outstanding debt going unnoticed.
- Faster answers when a client asks about their SARS compliance status.
- Coming soon: deadline reminders in their preferred language and a client portal.
Annual commitment
Pay annually and receive 30% off.
Choose your client count
You commit to a number of client slots for the year and pay upfront.
For example, 1,000 clients cost R70,000 for the year instead of R100,000.
Swap clients freely
You are buying client slots, not locking the slots to specific clients.
If one client leaves and another joins, you can simply use the existing slot for the new client.
If your practice grows
If you go above your committed client count, the additional clients are billed pro rata for the remainder of the year at the applicable band rate, with the 30% annual discount applied.
For example, increasing from 1,000 to 1,200 clients in month 7 would cost:
200 × R80 × 70% × 6/12 = R5,600
If your client list shrinks
There are no refunds during the year.
At renewal, you can reduce your committed client count to reflect your new client base.
Who counts as a client?
A client counts when TACT monitors them during the month.
If a client is removed from your eFiling client list, they stop counting from that point onwards.
